Player Evaluations:
Players are evaluated to assess skill level. Skills that are usually evaluated include:
- Running
- Infield fielding and Outfield fielding
- Throwing
- Hitting
- Pitching (in 10U and 12U)
- Sometimes the catcher position is evaluated (in 10U and 12U)
Note: By exception, a player may be approved to play “up” (with older players) or play “down” (with younger players), largely based on skillset
Bat Rules:
- Composite and metal bats with a USSSA or USA Softball stamp
- Barrel width no greater than 2 1/4" in diameter at the widest part
Your Player Will Receive the Following:
Your player will also need:
- Pants
- A softball glove
- A softball bat (see bat rules above)
- A batting helmet with a face mask
- A fielder's face mask
- Cleats are optional (but very helpful)
- Batting gloves are optional
- If your player is a catcher, they may need additional equipment (please check with your coach)
